‘Lookin’ back now I can see me And oh man, did I look cheesy’ Every time I hear the Mark Wills song, "19 Something" I am reminded of my high school years. And I cringe whenever I look at my Senior Portrait. Braces, crimped hair wrapped in a blue feather boa. Cheesy indeed!
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE A SET OF SCREWDRIVERS, A CORDLESS DRILL AND A LITTLE BLACK DRESS
EVERY DAUGHTER SHOULD TAKE HER MOM ON AN EPIC ROAD TRIP WHEN SHE GETS HER LICENSE
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD READ "30 THINGS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE OR SHOULD KNOW BY THE TIME SHE'S 30". THEY ARE WORDS TO LIVE BY
The picture on the left is my senior portrait in my high school yearbook. Boring, right? There is no personality there.
And the picture on the right is the wallet sized photo that I bribed the photographer into letting me take once the boring yearbook photo was out of the way. This is how I wanted my classmates to remember me. The Independent one!
Fast forward to the early 90’s and we have this headshot from “Glamour Shots”. I decided to do this photo shoot about a year after my first husband past away and re-enter the dating world.
There’s something to be said for working with a professional photographer that included hair and makeup into their services. The Flirty one!
These days I’m living in Joshua Tree with my husband and my son, trying to balance running my photography business with homeschooling my son.
For fun, my family and I love taking road trips and camping in the great outdoors. Throw in some organic gardening, fixing up my vehicle, cooking from scratch and hiking in Joshua Tree National Park with friends, my days are pretty complete.
Does work like balance even exist? Most days I say no. But I wouldn’t change a thing because I love what I do. The Tomboy!
Just a quick Haiku so you can get to know me a little.
Photography is an art of observation. It has little to with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
With specialized attention to all the details that go into creating your personalized portraits, we will design precisely the portraits that you wish to own and display in your home.
Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
We want you to enjoy every moment of your experience.
We like to know as much about our clients as possible before photographing them. We love to know things such as what you (and/or your loved ones) interests and hobbies are. What do you, (and/or your loved ones) enjoy in life. What is special and unique about you (and/or your loved ones).
We’ll create portraits using both natural and photo journalistic styles of photography. You and/or your family will be invited to change your attire and locations, as much as necessary to achieve the portraits you wish to own. If the nature of the session involves your family, your artist will capture a balanced selection of portraits to showcase each individual member, as well as the relationship they share with one, a few, and all of the other members of the family, unless otherwise discussed.
What a thrill it is to see your Portraits for the first time! Portrait presentations are usually held in the comfort of your home (so there is no need to drag the family out), and generally about an hour in duration, depending on the nature of your portrait creation session.
No matter how sophisticated the camera, the photographer is still the one that makes the picture.
We have sessions to meet everyone's needs.
What's a picture worth? It's priceless when it's documenting your family's most precious moments, so don't take chances. I've proudly been a Member of Professional Photographers of America since 2010.
With everyone trying to save money these days, it’s tempting to skimp on professional photography. After all, everyone has a friend or family member with a fancy new camera who will throw together a shoot for next to nothing.
But while both snapshots and portraits have their place, when it comes to the really important things—those once-in-a-lifetime moments where you only get one shot at getting it right—you need a professional photographer who can make the most of your special memories.
As professional photographers, we know how to achieve great results—every time. You get a strong collection of images that capture the “that’s my baby!” looks unique to your child, not a few lucky snapshots.
Professional photographers are more than picture takers. We are students of lighting, posing, fashion and even interior design. We combine these elements to create works of art that don’t just match your budget…they fit perfectly with your family’s unique characteristics and your home’s style.
A professional photographer is someone who will be there for you now and for years to come. We are business owners who thrive on customer service and satisfaction, and we’ll strive to produce products that exceed your—and our—best expectations. We know that family photography is one of the most important investments you’ll ever make. We know that photos are the family keepsakes that everyone comes back to time and time again. Just about anyone can take a good picture every now and then. But when life’s biggest moments are unfolding and there’s only one chance to capture that perfect memory, don’t risk losing it forever. Trust your memories to a professional photographer and see the difference.
